After couple of forgettable movies, she did Ishq Vishq with Shahid Kapoor, which went on to become a huge hit placing her in the list of top bollywood actresses. Again after few duds came Main Hoon Na, where she shared screen space with the king of bollywod Shahrukh Khan, which again was a huge blockbuster.
By now, it had become a habit for Amrita Rao to give few flops between huge hits. Her recent romantic family drama Vivah with her Ishq Vishq costar Shahid Kapoor was a universal hit, and her portrayal of a simple village girl was hugely appreciated by the masses and critics.
