Pawan Kalyan saiys We Are Not Splitting
Renu Desai is furious. Rumours of her alleged split with hubby Pawan Kalyan have irked her no end and she is taking special care to ensure that the gossip does not reach her kids.
“I am shocked with these baseless speculations and I don’t know how these rumours cropped up,” she says. “We are deeply in love.” It has been the buzz in Tollywood for the last several months that the star couple is on the verge of a split.
Adding grist to the rumour mill, Renu moved bag and baggage to Pune, while Pawan stayed back in Hyderabad. Wags then started speculating frenetically about when the two will officially split.
Renu and Pawan, who co-starred in big ticket films such as Badri and Johnny, had fallen in love and had a live-in relationship for almost six years. Their relationship was scoffed at by many in the industry. Then Pawan divorced his first wife Nandini and silenced his detractors by solemnising their relationship by marrying his beloved in a simple Arya Samaj ceremony at his residence in January 2009.
The couple already had a baby boy in 2004 and he was named Akira Nandan, since Pawan is an ardent fan of the legendary filmmaker Akira Kurasowa. In 2010, they had a baby girl, who they named Aadhiya.
The rumours started after Pawan bought a posh villa in Pune and shifted base with his family. A producer friend of Pawan says the actor did so because his house in Jubilee Hills was getting demolished for renovation. “He used to come to Hyderabad only for shootings,” the friend adds.
Renu says she opted to stay in Pune to pursue the education of her son. “I have shifted to Pune but we are definitely not separating,” she says. “We are so much in love with each other, so the question of split is just ruled out. We have been in deep love for 11 years and will be together for many more years to come.” Renu says her life revolves around her kids at present. “I got the shock of my life when the cradle of my baby collapsed, but she was not hurt,” says Renu. “I wanted to sue the company for selling inferior stuff.”
A present, Akira is enjoying his summer vacation with his father in Kolkata. “My son is holidaying with his dad who is shooting, but I stayed back to look after my daughter,” says Renu with a smile
