Bollywood babes going bold
Relationships in Bollywood at times are not permanent. The proof to this is the recent break-up of Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor. The lovebirds parted their ways two months back, after their two-year long relationship. Deepika Padukone was unavailable for comment when asked about the break-up.
Deepika looked flushed at a recent event for skin product launch. She was flooded with questions from the reporters, about her RK tattoo on the back of her neck. However, Deepika did not reply to that question. Her silence met with another question, when she was asked that whether the company is launching a lotion to erase the tattoo. Deepika seemed reluctant to answer anything about her tattoo.
The next question that got the actress to talk finally, when asked her about is she happy with her break-up. Deepika gave an instant reply saying that she is happy. Without answering, any further questions Deepika made a secret exit from the backstage.
The actress had faced a similar situation when she was shooting for Ashutosh Gowariker’s, Khelenge Hum Jee Jaan Se in Goa. While shooting for a scene the RK tattoo was visible, Ashutosh had to ask her to change her hairdo. Deepika had to tie her hair as bun for a fight sequence, but then she changed her hairstyle so it will not show.
Earlier Bollywood babes were little shy or nervous to do a bikini act. Now they are not so conscious about it and will do it happily as per the script demands (or their audience). Get ready to watch next three hot babes of Bollywood - Lara Dutta, Jiah Khan and Deepika Padukone - in a skimpy affair.
Lara who earlier did it in Blue had received applause and is now ready to do it again in Sajid Khan’s Houseful. Jiah Khan will also be seen in minimal cloths for a comic caper. Meanwhile news also has that the new sensation of Bollywood, Deepika may also appear in a swimsuit in the same film.
Ex-couple Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone are putting forward a great example to wannabe actors by keeping their personal and professional life separate.
According to a source close to Deepika, she is ready to work with Ranbir professionally although they have parted ways personally/romantically.
When these two newbies were a couple, many filmmakers thought of making a film with them. And there is one director, a common friend of the couple, who hopes to cast them together for his film. However neither the filmmaker nor the film’s name has been revealed yet as the film still is in its formative stages. We will come to know about the film only in April next year.
Those who thought the leggy lass Deepika Padukone is out of sight nowadays or she is avoiding media after her split with Ranbeer Kapoor are wrong. Because the reason behind her vanishing act is the new look she has got for Kartik Calling Kartik, which she didn’t want to reveal. Deepika has chopped her waist length hair to the shoulders for the film.
In KWC, she co-stars with Farhan Akhtar. She is playing role of an interior designer in the film and the script demands her to be in a particular look. Deepika was first hesitant to do so, but director Vijay Lalwani and Audhuna, the celebrity hairstylist and Farhan’s wife convinced her to go for it. “They thought with my height, I would be able to carry it off well,” said Deepika.
“I last chopped my hair when I was eight,” she added.
Before the hair cut Deepika put a condition to the director that she will chop her hair only if he will shave his head bald. “He didn’t do that, but he saw to it that he was present in the salon so that I don’t back off at the last moment,” said the actress with a smile.
Meanwhile people including her parents, who have seen her in new avatar, have liked it. “Everybody says it looks good on me and makes me look younger,” she said.
Talking about her role in the film, she said, “The scriptwriter had a certain image in mind when he wrote my character Shonali. So I had to do justice to the role.”
