hile most actors have chock-a-block shooting schedules in 2012, Shahid Kapoor has no qualms in admitting that he has no work on hand as of now.
The actor recently wrapped up shooting for Kunal Kohli’s tentatively titled “Teri Meri Kahaani”, in which he features with Priyanka Chopra. But after that, he is still waiting to lock something.
“I don’t like to comment on any of my films till the producers make an official announcement. All I can say is I don’t have any films right now. So right now I am unemployed,” Shahid told reporters at an event organised here Monday by electronics company Pioneer India.
However, his fans don’t need to be disappointed, as he said: “In the second half of the year I have many films.”
Will his “unemployed” status come in the way of his plans of settling down?
“I am available. It takes a certain amount of time to establish yourself. It’s better if your partner is with you to share your journey in life,” commented the actor, whose father’s directorial “Mausam” failed to mint moolah at the box office.
Meanwhile, talking about working with his rumoured ex-girlfriend Priyanka, he hints that the duo will recreate their “Kaminey” chemistry in Kohli’s project.

I am not a good actor says Hrithik Roshan
He is one of the most sought after male leads in Bollywood but Hrithik Roshan still doesn’t consider himself as a good actor.
The actor was here along with Sanjay Dutt and Priyanka Chopra at PVR cinemas, in Ambience Mall for the promotion of their forthcoming film “Agneepath”, a remake of the 1990 film starring Amitabh Bachchan in the role of Vijay Dinanath Chauhan. The megastar had got the national award for it.
Hrithik revealed he was initially wary of taking up the role.
“My first reaction was why should I do it? This is an iconic role played by Amitabh Bachchan. But when I heard the subject, screenplay and basic story, it drove through all my pre-conceived notions as an audience, as an actor and it touched my heart completely,” he said.
“It was so refreshing that I forgot about the old ‘Agneepath’. Moreover it was a character that I was identifying with. I felt there is no reason for not to do this film,” he added.

Genelia keeps me on my toes
Love is in the air in Bollywood, especially for the cutest pair of Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza who have decided to take their relationship to the next level. The couple will tie the knot Feb 3.
After hiding their relationship in the past and by stating “we are just good friends” now finally Riteish has spoken up about his love life. After seven years, the two actors are coming together in “Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya” which is expected to hit theatres Feb 24.
Riteish told IANS that Genelia kept him on his toes in the film. “No matter how well you know that person but when it comes to the professional level it’s a different person and that’s a wonderful part. Suddenly, when you work with a competent actor it’s challenging. Genelia always keeps me on my toes. Every day I feel that I can do better than her but she kicks my ass.”
Riteish, who has some wonderful films to his credit, felt that Genelia was a better actor than him. “I think Genelia is a better actor than me.”
Riteish firmly protested that marriage was not going take away his freedom from him. “I don’t think there is any sort of fear that my freedom will go for a toss.”
“I think when you are seeing each other for so long the question of freedom doesn’t arise. You tend to know each other so much, besides we both have been very private,” he said.
“We tried to give dignity to our relationship in the privacy that we maintained,” Riteish said.
The actor can’t stop himself from praising his better half-to-be. On what made him feel that Genelia was the one for him, he said: “One out of the many, I like Genelia’s smile and energy. She is very vibrant and energetic. As an actor she has an immense amount of energy in her.”
Will a real life couple click as a reel life pair. Riteish said: “I remember a friend of mine telling me that when real life couple comes on screen together some people feel that the chemistry between them would come naturally.”
As a couple you tend to say a lot of stuff in one line because you know that person well and understand. But in a film you try to convey this to a third person, he said.
“On the other hand, there is a certain amount of comfort on the sets and some amount of liberty you get,” Riteish said. Read more...
Nothing wrong with western influence
While the Indian youth faces criticism for aping the west, young actress Sonam Kapoor says she finds nothing wrong with it as good values are “universal”.
“Values are usually universal…good values are universal. The west in not a devil coming to change our minds about certain things. But I think it’s fine to get influenced by the world because the world is getting smaller in a lot of ways,” the 26-year-old actress said here at a youth fest.
Sonam, considered to be a style icon for the youths, feels India has a great future because of the young population in the country.
“India is predominantly a youthful nation. When you are younger, you are more idealistic and you want to strive for a better future for ourselves. I think we have an amazing future because we are such a young nation,” she said..
Sonam’s last release was “Players”. She is currently working on Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s “Bhaag Milkha Bhaag”, in which she will be seen with Farhan Akhtar. – IANS Read more...
